Cyber security in small and medium enterprises

Cybersecurity in small and medium-sized businesses is more important than ever. With the digital transition accelerated by the COVID-19 pandemic, businesses of all sizes face increased cyber risks. Unfortunately, small and medium-sized businesses often ignore the need for cybersecurity, either due to lack of resources or due to the mistaken belief that they are unlikely targets. However, cybercriminal attacks are not only directed towards large companies. Smaller businesses can also be vulnerable, mainly because they often do not have the necessary security measures in place. The basic steps that need to be taken include training staff about common cyber threats, such as ransomware viruses and phishing attacks, implementing regular software and security system updates, and creating a recovery plan from cybersecurity incidents. It is also important to protect the sensitive information of customers, in order to maintain their trust and comply with data privacy regulations. In a world where cyber threats are increasingly complex and evolving, small and medium-sized businesses need equally advanced security solutions. This may include hiring specialized staff or using services from an external provider to manage security issues. Cybersecurity should not be considered a luxury, but a necessity. Protecting businesses from cyber attacks is essential for their survival, customer trust, and their growth. With proper preparation and caution, small and medium-sized businesses can effectively address these threats and ensure the security of their digital assets.

Circular economy in Greece

The circular economy is an economic model that aims to reduce resource use and minimize waste, through reuse, recycling, and recovery. The circular economy in Greece is still in a developmental stage, but significant efforts have been made in recent years to incorporate it into the national economy. From the government to companies and citizens, there is a growing recognition of the need for a more sustainable approach to production and consumption. European funds for the development of the circular economy, which aim to support businesses and policies that contribute to the transition, play a significant role in this effort.

Despite challenges, such as the need for education and habit change, Greece is making steps in the right direction. Recent projects, such as recycling in production and the integration of the circular economy into education, demonstrate the progress that has been made.

This transition is essential, as the circular economy not only offers environmental benefits, but also economic opportunities. With the development of new technologies and business models, Greece has the opportunity to play a pivotal role in Europe’s circular economy, creating jobs, boosting innovation, and contributing to environmental protection.

Ο Εκπαιδευτικός Οργανισμός EUROTRAINING, εταίρος στο Ευρωπαϊκό πρόγραμμα “ MoreThanAJob – Reinforcing social and solidarity economy for the unemployed, uneducated and refugees ”, το οποίο χρηματοδοτείται στο πλαίσιο του ENI CBC Mediterranean Sea Basin Programme, αναζητά προσφορές για την παροχή υπηρεσιών για την υλοποίηση δράσεων επικοινωνίας, διαφήμισης και προώθησης στο πλαίσιο υλοποίησης του «Πακέτου Εργασίας 2: Επικοινωνία» (WP2: Communication) του έργου.

Ειδικότερα ο Ανάδοχος θα υποστηρίξει την Αναθέτουσα Αρχή ως εξής:

Παροχή υπηρεσιών για την υλοποίηση γενικών δράσεων επικοινωνίας, διαφήμισης και προώθησης του έργου.
Παροχή υπηρεσιών για την υλοποίηση ειδικών δράσεων επικοινωνίας, διαφήμισης και προώθησης για συγκεκριμένες ομάδες στόχου.
Παροχή υπηρεσιών για την υλοποίηση ειδικών δράσεων επικοινωνίας, διαφήμισης και προώθησης για συγκεκριμένες δράσεις του έργου.

Αμοιβή παρεχόμενων υπηρεσιών:

Η συνολική αμοιβή για την εκτέλεση του ανωτέρου έργου συμφωνείται στο ποσό των 12.000,00 € συμπεριλαμβανομένου του ΦΠΑ (ποσό 9.677,42 € και ΦΠΑ 2.322,58 €).

Διάρκεια και Σύμβαση:

H διάρκεια της σύμβασης θα είναι από την υπογραφή της με μέγιστη διάρκεια λήξης την 03/09/2023. Σε περίπτωση παράτασης της υλοποίησης του φυσικού αντικειμένου, η σύμβαση δύναται να παραταθεί αντίστοιχα.

Our future with Artificial Intelligence

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is an exceptionally important and continuously evolving field of science and technology, which has the potential to radically change the way we operate as a society. It involves the creation of machines and software that can mimic human intelligence, allowing them to learn, understand, analyze, and react to various situations without the need for human intervention.

AI has widespread applications. In robotics, AI systems drive automated solutions for production and service. In medicine, they analyze vast amounts of data for the development of new therapies and disease prediction. In financial analysis, they provide forecasts and advice based on complex models. In entertainment, they create more realistic games and personal experiences.

However, artificial intelligence comes with its own challenges. Ethical dilemmas are multiple and significant, with concerns about privacy and data security being paramount. In addition, automation can lead to job loss, and the ability of AI to make decisions that could affect people’s lives raises serious questions about responsibility and control.

Despite the challenges, artificial intelligence offers enormous possibilities. With the right regulation and oversight, AI has the potential to accelerate scientific progress, improve quality of life, and open new horizons in human experience. It is a tool that, when used correctly, can help us address many of the major challenges of the 21st century.
